A Healthier Alternative to Honey
There are many extensions you could choose to help you find coupons, but a lot of them have problems. Honey is a popular one, but it (allegedly) has issues:
- Honey gets paid by partners to hide codes, showing you mid deals even when better ones exist and cheating you out of savings (Snopes).
- Honey swaps out affiliate referral links during checkout, crediting Honey rather than the original content creator (even when no coupon is applied!). Lawsuits are in progress (WSJ).
How Are We Different?
We do not get paid to hide coupons and even do the work to find coupons nobody else has using our virtual computers. This ensures that we put you first and find the best deals available. We can't guarantee that we will always find the best coupon, but we will try our best to put you above corporations.
While we have not yet implemented an affiliate program, we are committed to transparency and comply with Chrome's Affiliate Ads Policy that was introduced because of Honey's practices (The Verge). If we do, we plan to implement soft click cookies which do not overwrite any existing cookies, ensuring creators still receive credit if you used one of their links. We also comply with IAB's Code of Conduct - Downloadable Software.
We also do not sell your personal data and make sure to use encryption to safeguard your information in transit. Learn more about how we make money.
